K SURENDRAN
PRESIDENT
Dynamic, visionary, and an epitome of dedication, K. Surendran takes the helm as the esteemed General Secretary of AKGSMA. He has worked as a member of the association from the unit level. He has held the posts of District General Secretary, State Council Member, State Acting General Secretary, State General Secretary, State Advisory Committee Chairman etc.
Currently, K Surendran is working as the Vice Chairman of the Jewellery Exhibition organized by the AKGSMA. He has also held the posts of Kerala Jewellery Workers Welfare Fund Board Director and Kerala Minimum Act Director. K
Surendran was the main organizer of the Onam Gold Festival, which was held with the participation of 4700 gold traders from Kerala.The gold festival strengthened the unity of the traders and strengthened the organization.
The gold trading sector is facing many crises today. Various interventions like government policies, consensus rates, GST etc. are affecting the lives of gold traders. In such situations, Surendran has done a great job in strengthening the organization and firmly raising the interests of gold traders before the government and other authorities.

GENERAL SECRETARY
With unwavering vision, unparalleled leadership, and an inspiring legacy of excellence, Adv. S. Abdul Nazar is the General Secretary of AKGSMA. He is one among the most prominent figures in the national jewellery fraternity.
He entered the gold trade in 1992. In 1994, he joined AKGSMA the and became a member of the Karunagappally Unit Committee.
He became a member of the District Committee in 1995. In 1996, he became a member of the State Council. In 2004, he became the President of the Kollam District Committee and the same year, became the State Secretary. In 2008, he became the State Vice President. Since 2011, he has served as the State Treasurer, Central Excise Grievance Cell,
and a member of the Central Excise Felicity Committee.
He is the Director of the Kerala Jewellery Workers Welfare Fund Board.
He served as the first Director from Kerala of the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) for six years.
He served as the Convener when the GJC National Jewellery Conference was organized in Kerala for the first time in its history.

He joined AKGSMA in 1995 and was the President of Pazhayaangadi Unit since 2007. He worked as the Kannur District General Secretary for a long time since 2009. He worked as the State Working General Secretary since 2017.
